That’s right, kids: it’s time for another Maui County Democratic Party Convention! Though it’s only open to registered Democrats, you should remember that you can’t spell “Maui County Democratic Party” without “Party.”
Did we say that it’s a potluck? Well, it is.
Anyway, the fun starts at 11am (delegates–you know who you are–should sign in at 10:30am). The potluck break is at 12:30 and then the festivities, which are sure to include plenty of funny hats, noisemakers and bunting, conclude around 2pm.
And the best part of all? “Elected Democrats to Congress or Governor who attend will be given an opportunity to speak,” according to the press release we just received. (Keep in mind that Democratic candidates will probably be working the room, so be warned).
Anyway, Lihikai School is at 335 S. Papa Ave. in Kahului.
