I think it’s every newspaper editor’s dream to get a press release that starts off with these words:
Below are details of the photo opp with Mrs. Arakawa tomorrow morning at Safeway Kahului. Will you be sending a photographer? Let me know if you have any questions!
That’s right, kids: Ann Arakawa, the wife of Maui County Mayor Alan Arakawa, will be getting a flu shot tomorrow (that is, Friday, Oct. 12) at 10am at the Kahului Safeway (170 E. Kamehameha Ave.).
According to the press release I just received from Communications Pacific in Honolulu, it should be quite the morning at the old Safeway:
Mrs. Ann Arakawa will stop by Safeway’s Kahului store on Friday, October 12 to get her flu vaccination. Mayor Alan Arakawa, who already received a vaccination for this year’s flu season, will accompany Mrs. Arakawa and answer questions about the importance of getting a flu shot.
Sadly, I don’t have the people to spare for this big news event, but if any readers care to attend and take a shot or two, send ‘em our way and we’ll be more than happy to post ‘em.
